We Can Support Our Emotional Balance Through Nature
In harmony of mind, body, and spirit, are you ready to meet valuable companions who can lovingly guide us on the path toward greater freedom?
As modern psychology frequently emphasizes, our mental balance and emotional state form some of the fundamental pillars of our health and overall well-being.
Developed in the 1930s by the English physician Dr. Edward Bach, who sought to approach conventional medicine from a more holistic perspective, Bach Flower Therapy comes into play precisely at this point. By helping us reconnect with our inner selves, it aims to gently support the release of emotional blocks and awaken our inner potential for healing.
Starting from Dr. Bach’s principle, “Illness is the result of a conflict between the soul and the personality,” let us take a closer look at this gentle journey of mental and emotional transformation offered by nature, from both a scientific and compassionate perspective.

What Is Bach Flower Therapy?
Bach Flower Therapy consists of 38 different flower essences prepared from plants collected from nature, whose essences are transferred into water through exposure to sunlight or by boiling and then preserved after filtering. It can be described as an emotional “first-aid kit.” The system is based on the idea of using the energetic qualities of flowers in relation to changes in people’s psychological and emotional states.
Bach Flower Therapy is different from herbal medicines used in phytotherapy. It is also not the same as aromatherapy.
The fundamental approach of the Bach system is based not on the pharmacological action of an active substance in the flower, but rather on associating flower essences with particular emotional states. Therefore, Bach Flower Remedies should not be regarded as a conventional medicinal treatment.
According to Dr. Bach, negative emotions such as anxiety, hopelessness, or fear may create conditions that contribute to illness. For this reason, the Bach system focuses not directly on disease or physical symptoms, but on the individual’s unique emotional state and inner balance.
The system groups negative emotional states into seven main categories:
Fear
Loneliness
Uncertainty
Despondency and Despair
Oversensitivity to Influences and Ideas
Insufficient Interest in Present Circumstances
Over-Care for the Welfare of Others

How Does Bach Flower Therapy Work?
From a holistic perspective, disharmony between the mind and body may contribute to physical discomfort. Bach Flower Therapy offers a complementary perspective aimed at supporting the restoration of balance.
Emotional Vibration and Regulation: Each flower represents a particular emotional vibration. The energy within the preparation is believed to support an individual’s mental and emotional frequency.
Self-Healing (Catalytic Effect): By addressing emotional blocks, it is believed to stimulate the body’s and mind’s own self-healing mechanisms.
Completely Safe and Free from Side Effects: It is described as having no allergic or physical side effects and as not interacting with other medicines or treatments. It is used across different age groups, from children to adults.
Therapeutic Relationship and Awareness: The trusting relationship established with the practitioner during the therapeutic process may support greater self-understanding, insight, and greater ease in decision-making.
In reported studies, as many as 88% of clients stated that they felt “emotionally better.” Following the process, clients have frequently provided feedback such as, “I felt calmer,” “My anxiety decreased,” “Making decisions became easier,” and “I became more compassionate toward myself.”
The Effectiveness of Bach Flowers
Bach Flower Remedies have been examined in Switzerland using the Kirlian method in the presence of a notary. According to the reported experiment, the more appropriately the Bach Flower essence was selected for the individual, the faster and more pronounced the observed change in the aura was said to be.
