• Injuries and everyday accidents: falls, knocks, bruising, crush injuries, insect stings and minor burns

• The logic of remedy selection: choosing according to the child’s symptoms, behaviour and general state, not only the name of the illness

When Should You Seek Medical Help Without Waiting?

In the following situations, go to a doctor or A&E immediately, without giving a remedy first or waiting for it to act:

• Fever in a baby under 3 months

• Difficulty breathing

• Confusion, or being hard to wake

• Unable to keep fluids down, or passing much less urine

• Fever with a rash that does not fade when pressed

• A seizure (fit)
